Elayne Damondred

Elayne Damondred does not remember her childhood. She was found alongside the child Cecilliana Havia. In a ceremony, her soul was pledged to protect the girl. Ever since, she has acted as guardian to Cecilliana. Since they are the same age, this creates a sort of awkward relationship, in which Elayne is torn between the love of her best friend and her duty to protect her. She considers herself a servant to Cecilliana, but does not hesitate to act the guardian that she is pledged to be, often scolding her in public, only to laugh about it with cecilliana in private. Because of her resposnibility, however, she was forced to grow up and mature slightly faster than Cecilliana herself. This gives her a sort of grim outlok on life, knowing that someday, she must either die to save Cecilliana, or die with her. Trained in the dark arts of necromancy, she is a girl with a good heart, but a decidedly dark attitude, especially toward those she believes are a threat to her charge, Cecilliana. To those she loves, however, she is a loyal friend, and guardian, and would gladly give her life for a friend if it were not already pledged.
Elayne also has a twin brother, Rhavin Damondred. He too is trained in the dark arts, though he chose a different path. He has followed the way of evil. Brother and Sister have a telepathic link to each other, allowing them to talk to each other, and even posess each other for a limited time in order to speak THROUGH each other. Rhavin sometimes hints to his sister that he remembers something of thier childhood, but so far has not told her what he knows.
